DataDriven Roads

Automated traffic enforcement and road intelligence

Every citation carries its evidence

Roadside capture, assisted processing, trained human review and a documented chain of custody. Retention, permitted purposes and access roles are set out per program in the contract.

What we solve

A program only holds up if the record behind a case is complete

An agency has to defend a location choice, answer a records request, or stand behind a contested citation. Each of those needs the same thing: a case file that shows what was captured, who reviewed it, and under what authority. That file is the product.

  • Continuous field measurement, not one-week sampling.
  • Every case with its evidence, its reviewer and its timestamp.
  • Reports written for a council or a board, not for engineers.

Defensibility

An evidence package that survives an administrative hearing and a public records request.

Staff time

Review queues and templates replace manual assembly and double entry.

Public trust

Published retention, published purposes, published policy. Nothing depends on trust alone.

Continuity

Site health monitored continuously, with an alert the moment a location stops reporting.

How it works

From the roadside to the decision, in four stages

Capture

Fixed sites, mobile units and field records feed one stream, with plate, context images and metadata.

Review

AI classification filters noise. A trained reviewer confirms the event before anything moves forward.

Case file

Evidence, correspondence and full history stay together, with chain of custody intact.

Decision

Notices, dashboards and program reports come out of the same system that recorded the operation.

Programs

What a jurisdiction may run is not the same everywhere

Authority for automated enforcement is set state by state, and in some states program by program. We start from what your jurisdiction is authorized to operate today, and we tell you when the answer is that it is not.

Each program page sets out the authorizing framework, the evidence flow and the contracting model.

Field operationsWe install, operate and maintain. Your agency does not need to staff a camera crew.
Human reviewReview workflow with supervisor quality control, configured to the requirements of each program.
Chain of custodyEvery event carries its full history from capture to resolution.

Data protection

Configured to the jurisdiction, not to a national default

There is no single federal rule for license plate data. Retention windows, permitted purposes and sharing restrictions differ by state, and in California an ALPR usage and privacy policy has to be published where the public can read it. Those are set out per program in the contract rather than built as custom work.

Retention windows

Set per program and per jurisdiction, and documented in the contract.

Purpose and access

Access roles and permitted purposes are defined per program in the contract.

No facial recognition

Facial recognition is not part of the scope we offer, and it is not included in the modules described on this site.

No resale

Program data belongs to the agency or association that runs the program. Our use of it is limited to that program by contract.

Where we operate

A California company that has been running programs in the field

DataDriven Roads LLC is based in Sacramento, California. The platform is not a prototype: it processes events end to end today.

How we work

Software, project, or the whole operation

Start with a measurement study and grow into a program, or hand us the operation from day one. We can be your vendor, the partner inside your bid, or the intelligence layer running on hardware you already own.

As a service

Subscription pricing on our infrastructure, with no upfront spending on servers.

Turnkey

Equipment, installation and operations with our own field crews.

As a component

NEXUS as the software layer behind cameras you already have.

Tell us about your corridor

We will tell you what your jurisdiction is authorized to run, and whether we are the right fit.
